Chrome Plated Heart is - Chris Dryden, John Chretien, Michael Rettig and Cate Rettig.​

We start with Cate. You Know Cate from September Dogs. From Chasing Alice. She's the singer/guitarist. Cate has powerhouse vocals and sounds so much like Melissa Etheridge ( at one se show, someone in the crowd started to cry, thinking they had really hired Melissa Etheridge. Cate was completely touched by this) Cate loves this project, those lyrics, the passion behind all of it. The guys suggested the CPH Project, and the only answer was YES! This is a favorite of all of them.  Oh so good. Chris, John, Michael and Cate  - Chrome Plated Heart.

Bassist Chris Dryden is a man of many talents. Cate & Michael met Chris over drinks one night. There was much Guiness and many green tea shots had. They all agreed,  regardless of whether or not they would work musically, a great friendship was born.  Chris is a fabulous bassist and works so well with the intricate basslines, oddball runs, and random fills that Kevin McCormick intertwined into Melissa's music. One of the reasons he loves to play her music.

John Chretien is the drummer for this project. He also works with September Dogs. John is undoubtedly one of the best drummers in Central Fl.  He keeps everyone on time, all the time. John has many hobbies, but music and his family take center stage. He and Chris decided long ago, that the Melissa Etheridge project was a tasty treat of music to sink their teeth into and a rhythm section bond was formed. John has been playing with Cate & Michael for 15 yrs now. Chris has been in the mix since 2020. It has been wonderful to say the least. Time flies when you're having fun!

Michael Rettig. Guitarist, backing vocals, harmonica, electronics and sound.  Husband to Cate, he is a truly gifted musician. Of course, there was the Guiness, wine drinking, shot consuming evening with Chris, and recently there was a night of "Sicilian Kiss shots" (we blame T.Bukata) with the whole band. What was everyone thinking? And when did he learn to play the harmonica? Seriously, Michael supports Cate in everything. Music is a shared passion and to be able to work together, comfortably, easily, is very special.  It's been a fantastic ride so far! ​
